Deleted postings and Comments

I accidentally deleted 47 old posts and associated comments last night.  I am at work on Google Cache trying to get them all back but I fear that I may have lost the comments for good and THAT makes me sad.

I wish everything worked like Mac’s Time Machine.  I wish WordPress had some sort of backup to prevent this sort of thing from happening.
