We’re taught to argue.
Debate class.
Politics.
Comment sections.
It’s all about taking opposing sides and trying to win.
But genuine collaboration happens when we’re willing to stand on the same side of the problem and look at it together.
Instead of:
- “You’re wrong and here’s why.”
Try:
- “Let’s figure this out together.”
Talking from the same side doesn’t mean we always agree.
It means we’re more committed to the relationship and the outcome than to being right.
