I’m pretty good at writing almost everyday, or at least having a post to go out everyday.
Some days, I’m inspired and it hits me…like lightning. On these days, I sit down and write anywhere from 4 to 10 blog posts.
I write this blog in the midst of everything else I’m doing, and while it would seem–to others–that this would create an undue burden, it actually liberates my mind for a brief 10-15 minute time window.
I’m able to get away from the things I HAVE to do, and instead spend a few precious moments thinking about something that I don’t have to do at all.
I don’t make any money from this blog. I don’t really showcase industry expertise. I just like writing here.
But once I schedule the post…
I must go back to the flooded inbox, the never ending task list, the projects to complete.
I’ve got people to manage, clients to correspond with, and new business opportunities requiring my attention and proposal writing skills.
Being an entrepreneur is a lot of work.
I’ve found that a good gauge of where I am mentally, emotionally, and physically, is the amount of time I stare at this blank screen, this blinking cursor, thinking about what to write on this blog.
