I don’t know if anyone has coined this term yet, but if it hasn’t been coined yet, I’m claiming it. I feel that we are poised for the next generation of technology. We are moving into a space where green technologies will become more prominent. Cloud computing is already taking off. I don’t think it will be long before America embraces the next wave of technological advancement. We need to begin exporting new technologies and innovations. The evidence for what I would call “Bubble 2.0″ is everywhere.
While things may seem bad right now, there is no question in my mind that if we can have the courage to take on the problems we face, we will find innovative solutions. The extent to which this recession lasts is a product of our own initiative, at least to some extent. Since America is beginning to have trouble competing in a wide variety of industries, I believe we are best suited to start rebuilding our infrastructure and investing in new technologies, whether they be internet or energy-related. See Smart Grid.
Watch out for Bubble 2.0, hopefully this one won’t POP so dramatically.
