Downshift

ByJeff Gibbard October 22, 2014May 13, 2024 Reading Time: 1 minute

I’ve been going fast, but I think, maybe a little too fast.

I’ve been cruising along, and it might be time to slow down, get more control, and assess the road ahead.

This is the downshift.

When you downshift and drop into a lower gear, you slow down temporarily, gain more control, and give yourself the ability to, once again, accelerate more quickly.

If I want to go faster, I will first need to slow down.
