I just got back from 9 glorious days of vacation, which is why this blog was silent.  During that vacation, I disconnected almost entirely. I didn’t blog, I barely checked email, I rarely tweeted, I made an appearance or two on Facebook.  Mostly I just enjoyed the time off.

But the vacation hangover is no myth…it is a real phenomena that begs the question, how does one bounce back?

  • How do we bounce back to work after vacation?

But life is always about bouncing back, or moving on, or moving up.  So…

  • How do we bounce back to success after failure?
  • How do we bounce back to reality and stay humble after success?

For me, the only way I’m able to bounce back, is to look at each thing as its own event.  And I realize that it takes something to compartmentalize our mindsets.

But…

Vacation time was for relaxing, and I didn’t bring work into it.

By the same token, it’s time to work now, and I can’t bring vacation into it.

It’s Monday.  And even though last week was a productive partial week, today is the day to truly bounce back.
