Someone should make a short horror film called “The Unsolicited” and it should tell the story of a person who is tormented by cold calls, and junk mail. I see it as a combination of Dilbert and the original Evil Dead.
The thing about unsolicited advice, sales offers, or anything else, is that we are not in the correct mindset to give it favorable attention. Yet somehow, the stewards of advertising and those that know-it-all, think that their efforts are worthwhile.
In all things, gain permission or do your own thing that requires no permission. Ditch the intrusive and unsolicited, we’ll all be better off.
