One of the toughest parts of being an entrepreneur is dealing with the emotional roller coaster that the company can go through within a single year.  Over the course of 6 months, a company can go from dead broke and in debt to doing ok, to having more work that can be handled.

Obviously as the business matures the ebb and flow tones down and happens less frequently as the receivables become more predictable.

I think it is this early stage chaos that makes being an entrepreneur such a unique career choice…it’s really not for everyone.  Some people need the stability of a paycheck.  They need the ability to show up and eat without hunting.  They need a job without the possibility of having their backs pressed firmly against the wall.

Going into our 3rd year at True Voice Media I wouldn’t want to do anything else.  Do I want the roller coaster to calm down?  Of course!  But the early stages, the growing pains, the failures, the successes…there’s not another job that would be this rewarding.

4 weeks ago we were in the dust bowl, not a drop for us to drink.  Now we’re building a boat and it’s because we work hard, we try things, we learn from our mistakes and we’re willing to go through the tough times to get to the big dream.

Again, thanks to everyone who helped us, supported us, recommended us and believed in us.
