It’s true.  There is a wealth of data about YOU out there.  It’s easier to find than ever.  I can often tell more about someone by Googling them than having a single conversation with them.  This could seem scary but it could also give you valuable insight into yourself.  For instance, something I just found is a “service” that analyzes your facebooks status updates and creates a cloud of the most used terms.  What do you talk about?  Do curses or words like hate or grouchy come to the top?  What about the words love, like or appreciate?  Do you find yourself talking about a particular topic more than anything else?

I think it can be very interesting to do this across the board, analyzing any site you regularly use or post information to.  But what I found most interesting was the analysis of my personal status updates.  I often think of myself as a positive person, generally very happy and for the most part, my cloud validated that.
We all have some perception of who we are.  As if that is some inflexible IS.  It’s really interesting to think that you, by way of your own language and decisions what to post, are actually able to see if your language matches your perception of yourself.

Here are my most used words on Facebook. I encourage you to post your cloud in the comments, might be an interesting social experiment.
