This week marks the first week of the next chapter in my business.
Since I started in March of 2011, I have been on two parallel quests:
- To utilize my knowledge of social tools, people, and business to make the world a better place by helping companies fully understand how to leverage new technologies and understand people to increase profitability, and improve customer and employee satisfaction and engagement.
- To build the perfect job for myself, and those that work with me.
It has always been clear to me that to have the best chance of success and satisfaction in my career, I need to get to the point where I am able to only do the work I am best at, and that makes me the happiest.
My goal is to only do three things:
- Client Work: Strategy, Training, Consulting
- Business Development: Meeting with prospects, learning about their challenges, offering solutions
- Marketing: Blogging, Speaking, Networking
I recently hired a virtual assistant who’s job it is to ensure that I move closer and closer to this perfect job. It’s been years in the making but I’m one step closer.
