This has come up in a number of conversations with clients, prospects and friends; in business “you have to give to get.”  

One of my clients, Jim Wiley, CEO of the Wiley Group operates with Karmic Business Management: “what goes around comes around, you have to give to get.”  

I had a meeting today with Doug Barg, my former GMAT tutor from Kaplan.  We discussed how prevalent that theory is in Social Media success stories.  

It’s funny how the theme keeps coming up.  Even though it’s one of the more difficult things to measure, I can say from my own experience that I have been focused on being helpful and generous and I can feel my support network grow.  

I know there are more referrals, I know there are more opportunities and I can confidently state that I think it has everything to do with giving it all away.
