It’s not just about mobile; it’s not just about the Post-PC world.
It’s about creating a unified experience across all devices.
Facebook messages does this well; whether I am on my laptop, desktop, iPad or smartphone, my Facebook messages are in sync and consistant.
Evernote does this well. I can use Evernote anywhere, on any device and it just works.
More companies need to think about unified experiences; do it well on a computer, do it well on tablets, and do it well on smartphones…make sure they all work together.
I know this isn’t easy, but the sites and applications I am most prone to use are the ones giving me freedom instead of tying me to a single device or platform.
