I think most bad leaders have NO idea that they are bad leaders. They also don’t do much about being a better leader. They rarely question what they could do better. They worry about themselves.

Bad leaders view leadership as a position of power.

I think most good leaders worry about being bad leaders. They take steps to become better leaders. They read books about leadership, listen to podcasts about leadership, and get coaching on how to get the best out of their people. They invite feedback from their teams and spend time one on one. They worry about their people.

Good leaders view their leadership as a service to others and a privilege that is granted rather than a title that is earned.

No lesson here, just something to think about.
