Things do not go according to plan.

This is true in sports. This is true relationships. This is true in business.

It’s become clear to me that, generally speaking, people are impatient and, as a result, will often act against their own self interest.

It seems to me that having the intestinal fortitude to get through the tough times is what separates the true champions from the names left out of the history books.

The beginning of this year has been interesting for me.

I’m taking on more challenges at once than ever before. Not only that but the challenges are the biggest I’ve ever attempted to conquer.

While I am confident in my ability to get everything done, the reality of the situation on a day-to-day basis “is no picnic.”

The ambitious schedule that I painted for myself did not account for much. I didn’t factor in being tired. I didn’t factor in waiting an extra 10 minutes for my Uber. I didn’t factor in client emergencies that reshuffle my priorities.

On top of mid-day naps, the only solution I’ve found is to hang in there, and keep moving forward. No matter who you look to for support, guidance and inspiration, they have all, at time, had to just hang in there.
