I still don’t know all of the steps to disconnecting, and relaxing.
But I have isolated one very important step in the process. It might be the first step.
Focus on being present, right here, right now. Focus on the conversation you’re having, not the one in your head. Focus on your breathing, don’t let it be too shallow. Focus on the center of your head, right behind your eyes. Get out of your mind and into the driver’s seat to notice the consciousness that is experiencing everything going on.
I still hit Saturday morning with an immense pressure in my chest and a nervous anxiety of everything that needs to be done.
But being here, now…it’s a good start.
