The more someone accomplishes, the more interesting the early memories of their lives become.

Stories about Richard Branson in his early career are fascinating and, in hindsight, were indicators of where he’d be going in his life.

What Bill Gates did in middle school is so much more interesting now that we know what he became.

I was recently reminiscing with an old friend, and one of the stories was about her roller skating parties she had as a kid.

I used to go to these parties, slap on a pair of skates and start going around the loop as fast as I could. I wasn’t very good at skating so I fell…a lot! I would attempt to go really fast, then I’d fall, I’d get up, and try again.

I think that is a great way to remember my early days…as someone who tried to move fast, fell down, got up, and never quit.
