Imagine what the perfect world looks like to you…does it look like the world of today?
I’ll bet it doesn’t. I know our doesn’t for me.
So why do we settle?
Why do we accept mediocre in place of amazing?
Why aren’t we obsessive about building a perfect world?
I love what I do for a living but the ideal world, for me, means I can do that without the fear for survival. In the ideal world, I could take a day off to help others without stressing about putting food on my table. In my ideal world everyone can do this because passion and imagination will move is forward and what we have now is slavery.
In my ideal world, if I get sick, I can take time off to get well. I can go see a doctor without going deeply in debt. Because sickness isn’t political, it’s biological, it’s a human condition.
In my ideal world my news feeds would have less vapid celebrity news, and more human accomplishments. We’d celebrate progress, we’d never be satisfied.
**NOTE**
This is another post that was sitting in drafts from 2014. I think the sentiment is still relevant but I was clearly going through a more cynical period.
