Here’s the thing I’ve found about life…
You should always be forthright and honest; there will be less to remember when you are honest.
You should always be yourself; those that like you will stick around, those that don’t can go their own way, no problem.
You should make every effort to live deliberately; don’t just go through the motions, set a course.
You should acknowledge the people you encounter and remember names; in the end nothing exists without relationships and you never know if the interaction happening today is a setup for something magical in the future.
You will cross paths with many people in your lifetime, and some will disappear forever, never to return. You could meet a lead or a friend-of-a-friend, and in your mind think that the interaction is inconsequential. But you never know when that person may emerge again, but this time as something more significant.
Sometimes it’s just the setup for the main event, don’t miss it.
