Sometimes the hardest part of anything is letting go.  This is true for ideas, new business prospects, clients, relationships…everything.  Letting go means detaching yourself from something you’ve attached yourself to.

One option is to always be detached, to withhold yourself from being vulnerable, or from putting your full heart into something.

Another option–and probably the better option–is to accept the frustration, the self-doubt, and the pain that is the result of failure, so that you can grow and become stronger moving forward.

I’m not saying it’s easy, but I think if your goal is to do anything extraordinary, you have to be prepared to put everything into it and still not have it work.

Letting go is an opportunity for self-reflection, but also an opportunity to realize that life isn’t always going to work out the way you want…and that’s ok.
