3wordsWe’re now a full week into our new year and already the holiday feeling we experienced seven days ago has begun to wain. Collectively we look forward to 2013 with a renewed vigor, everyone with specific goals and benchmarks they’re trying to achieve.

In our little world of social media, bloggers have been posting about their own 3 Words for 2013, a post stemmed from Chris Brogan’s a few years ago. Jeff asked me to come up with a list of my own, not just as content for Social Media Philanthropy, but as a solid way for me to set my own goals. Here’s what I want to work on in 2013:

Confidence

It’s a good thing that I didn’t include the word humble, because what I’m about to say is the opposite. In my own, perhaps inflated, opinion, I believe I have a lot of talent. I’ve gotten lead roles in plays and musicals, I’ve received awards for my writing and artwork…but all as a child and as a student. As a young adult I’ve had to battle my own depression and have gotten myself to a place where I’m comfortable to create great work. It’s now my challenge to be more confident in myself. Trying to be confident in my own abilities will come from doing effective work that is deemed successful by both my clients and colleagues.

Brevity

I ramble. Maybe did so in the paragraph above. Hopefully I don’t in the Social Echoes Podcast. Going to try and stop that practice.

Next.

Organized

I daydream…For a creative, that’s a good thing, but to stay organized, I need some help. Luckily I have a lot of people in my life that specialize in that kinda stuff, but personally and professionally. This will allow me to have a clean slate moving forward and enable me to get my ideas out in a concise and more assured way. See what I did there?

How about you? What are your 3 Words for ’13?
