One of the early inspirations for this blog was the desire to help others.

The tagline of my blog is “Generously donating ideas and opinions…you’re welcome.”  This is a play on words, as donating ideas is one form of my philanthropy.  Beyond having a platform to convey my ideas and educate my audience about issues in social media, I also wanted to make sure that I was highlighting various causes that I think are important.  I am have put in the work to build a following for this blog and also rank on search engines, this can be a big asset for charities and causes that need additional exposure.

After I launched my own business, the number of inboxes grew, distractions piled up and the number of social media related conversations grew in number and the true, cause-based, philanthropic side of this blog has been dormant. There was a time, not long ago, where I swore that I’d donate this blog for a full week, every quarter to highlighting and promoting fundraising and philanthropic efforts, both locally and nationally.  I’d like to resurrect that side of my blog; it’s part of WHY I blog.
