aint-nobody-got-time-for-that

So, you’re a business owner and all you keep hearing is Social Media this, and Social Media that.  But you’ve got stuff to do.

You’ve got orders to fill.

You’ve got paperwork to do.

You need to call your vendors.

You need to call your mother…on your lunch break.

There so much to do, who has time to tweet?!

What are you willing to make time for?

Do you have time to answer a few questions for a prospect?

Do you have time to meet a new business partner?

Do you have time to save a bunch of money?

Do you have time to improve your service dramatically?

Do you have time to grab the fire extinguisher when your business is on fire?

The truth is, we make time for things in which we see value or crisis.  Social Media represents both, and it impacts how businesses operate inside and outside the company walls.

While you wait and see…

Millenials are rapidly becoming part of your workforce and customer base.  See if you can guess how they communicate with one another.

Your competitors are embracing at least some aspect of social media, and it’s giving them the advantage over you.

Your potential customers are using the web everyday from desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones, and they are seeking information.  You’re “leaving money on the table” by being absent from  conversations with people who would gladly hand you money in exchange for a solution to their problem.

You’re not part of it, and you’re not smarter than ALL of us.

Herein lies the big win of social: the openness and collaboration that Social Media tools provide enable new levels of productivity, ideation and creation.

Every business has something to gain from the use of social tools.  If you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s not that you don’t have the time, it’s that you haven’t made the time.
