Today, I was trying to figure out how to change a particular setting on a web based program I was using…one Google search later, I had my answer.

Several days ago, someone, somewhere, got into an argument with a stranger on the internet. I know, it’s hard to believe. But would it surprise you to know that both of the individuals arguing were able to search for information to support their point of view, and both came back with substantial bodies of evidence to validate the certainty they felt that they were right?

With all of the information we have access to, it feels like we should have the ability to collectively find a larger objective truth. Sadly, this is not the case. True and false, right and wrong, are often less objective and more about interpretation.

In an era where information, true or false, can be easily obtained to support any point of view, how can we be truly certain of anything?
