A good leader recognizes the difference between leaders, managers, and role players, and has the guts to be honest about it.
The highest performers are not the best at taking orders. The best cogs are not the most adaptable. Each have their strengths and weaknesses.
The trouble begins when we say we want a star, when what we really want is a cog in the machine.
Everyone can’t be a leader in the factory and that’s fine, let’s just be honest about it.
