There’s a voice in your head, it tells you that you’re destined for greatness.

There’s a voice in your head, it tells you that you will fail.

You have met people who think you’re extraordinary. They love being around you, and they marvel at your skills.

You have encountered people who have doubted you. They said things about you. They’ve hurt you and left scars.

Do you take the sum or the average? Do you focus on what made you hurt most or what made you feel loved? Do you let others define you or do you only listen to yourself?

What’s the right answer?! Who should you listen to?

My take: there’s no one right answer.

You are what others say…to them, but that doesn’t have to define you. You just have to be OK with others seeing you differently than you see yourself.

You are what you say to yourself…but don’t operate in a vacuum. Criticism helps you improve, support gets you through self doubt.

Listen to everything, but take it all with a grain of salt…and strive for greatness, however you define that.
