You may or may not have noticed that this blog has been less active than normal.

While I am committed to having this blog stay active and consistent, I just haven’t been able to keep up lately.

Here’s the bad news:

Aside from client work and closing out the year for the agency, I’m currently overextended on all of my content initiatives.  I’ve got:

This is all in addition to managing my own social media channels.

All of my existing commitments make it very difficult to keep up with this blog and everything else.  So until I have some time to sit down and plan out what’s next for this site, content is probably going to appear less frequently than in the past.

I need some time off from worrying about this blog.  I could’ve just stopped posting, but I needed to post this so it’s clear why it’s gone quiet.

Without posting this post, I’d still feel the pressure to post to this blog every few days, and it’s just not doable right now.

Here’s the good news:

This blog WILL be back, and in 2014, the podcast will be given new life and structure.

I’ve recently brought on an amazing executive assistant who will be helping me take on more, and accomplish more, than ever before.  One way that impacts this blog is that she is going to be coordinating the podcast guests, something that I struggled to fit in.

I always take the end of the year to think about what I’ve learned over the past 12 months, and how I can be better in the coming year.  I look forward to sharing with you everything I’ll be doing in 2014.

The rest of this year

I may post one or two more articles this year, but I’m really trying to focus on getting myself setup for 2014, and you’re all busy thinking about the holidays and closing out your year.

Thanks so much for being a read in 2013 and I look forward to seeing you all in 2014.

Sincerely,

Jeff Gibbard
