Of course, social media makes an impact on SEO, but generally not in the way you might think. Whether links from social media sites are “follow” or “no follow” is less of what I talk about in this video.
Social Media really shines for SEO in two ways…
- Each social site that you have a profile on will likely rank high in the index.
- Almost every social media site has a search engine of its own..and people use those search engines too!
People use search on YouTube, they use it on Facebook, they use it on Linkedin. Understanding how THOSE search engines work is important too.
