Google-Reader-Shuts-DownSo you may have heard by now that Google has shut down everyone’s favorite RSS Reader.

If you don’t know what RSS is you can probably stop reading right about…

NOW.

For those of you still reading, you probably feel like me.  You’re pissed.

Fear not friends, where there are questions, we have answers.

1)  You can still get Social Media Philanthropy by RSS.

Go to feedly.com, sign up for an account with your Google login.  Feedly has promised a smooth transition from Google Reader into Feedly.  Until Google Reader shuts down, you’ll be able to use Feedly just as you would Google Reader, and once July 1 comes along, you will be able to easily move everything over.

I’ve tried a bunch of RSS readers, feedly is the best replacement and in many ways is superior to Google Reader.

2)  If you can’t take change and still must get Social Media Philanthropy, you can do it via email.

Oops! We could not locate your form.

3)  Don’t like email or RSS, don’t worry, there are still social channels.
